Thậm chí anh am hiểu giáo lý của các tôn giáo còn hơn cả những người đạo gốc.
Có lần tôi hỏi anh ” tại sao anh lại tin vào tôn giáo?”. Anh trả lời “vì tôn giáo trả lời được những thắc mắc của anh”. Tôi ngẫm nghĩ. Đúng rồi, con người luôn tồn tại những nghi ngờ, thắc mắc về cuộc sống của mình. Nhưng rất khó để có câu trả lời. Tại sao con người lại tồn tại? Tại sao con người lại có trí khôn hơn các loài khác? Tại sao 2 người từ xa lạ, lại yêu nhau và trở thành vợ chồng, một mối quan hệ còn thân thiết hơn ruột thịt? Tại sao và tại sao?
Có lẽ ai trong chúng ta cũng tiềm ẩn 1 niềm tin về tôn giáo, một người nào đó có thể mạnh miệng nói với bạn rằng, họ không tin có linh hồn, chết là hết, mọi sự sẽ chấm dứt. Nhưng trong sâu thẵm, họ vẫn cúng bái, mong đợi được gặp những người thân đã mất. Họ vẫn tin rằng những người đó vẫn còn tồn tại chứ không trở thành hư vô.
Có rất nhiều tôn giáo, mỗi tôn giáo sẽ có một cách lý giải khác nhau. Tuỳ vào mỗi người cảm thấy cách lý giải nào phù hợp với mình. Tức là mình hoàn toàn thoải mái, hạnh phúc khi tin vào cách lý giải đó, thì đó là tôn giáo phù hợp với họ. Nhờ vào đó, họ có được câu trả lời cho những vấn đề khúc mắc, họ cũng có được con đường đi cho cuộc sống của họ.
Có 2 điều mà càng sau này tôi càng nhận ra là đúng, một là không có một người già nào sắp chết mà lại không tin vào việc có một cuộc sống sau cái chết. Hai là tôi chưa từng gặp một ai vô thần, không tin tưởng gì vào bất cứ lý thuyết giáo lý nào, mà lại có cuộc sống hạnh phúc cả.
(ở đây, tôi định nghĩa tôn giáo là một giáo lý nào đó, giải thích về 1 cuộc sống tồn tại sau khi mất đi. Tôi không đi sâu vào lý luận kiểu như Phật giáo là tôn giáo hay không, Đức Phật có giải thích về vạn vật và mọi người Phật tử đi theo giải tích của Ngài, thì tôi tạm gọi đó là một tôn giáo)
